Prayer is a major ministry at CBC, and it is one that is available to anyone who has a desire to know God. During every Sunday worship service, intercessors are praying that God’s Word will reach the heart of each person in the congregation and lead someone to make a decision to follow Christ. The preparation for Sunday’s service comes on Wednesday night at our weekly prayer meeting. This is the most important time of the week for CBC, as members gather and lift a collective prayer to God for those in need and for the Sunday service. Ministry Leader: Pat Maxwell

Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not part from it.” This sums up the philosophy behind Community Bible Church’s children’s ministry. CBC focuses on the whole child, and uses God’s Word as the guide in training our children for life and for ministry.
Discipleship is a necessary next step after a decision has been made. Pastor Jim continually states that everyone should have both a Paul and a Timothy in their life, expressing the need everyone has to be mentored and in turn, mentor someone else. This is our vision here at CBC and each day we move toward that goal. Discipleship is a process and not an event. The process never stops just as an individual never stops learning, and the cycle continues as the disciple becomes the mentor."
Our aim is to make our guests feel welcome and “at home.” When you first come to CBC, you will be greeted by a volunteer in this ministry. John Glowacki and his team are ready to assist our guests from the moment they arrive and throughout the worship service in whatever way they can.

G.R.O.W. is the Evangelism and Outreach Ministry at CBC. G.R.O.W. stands for God Rewards Our Work and is our way of being obedient to the Great Commission. This ministry is designed to touch the community with the gospel of Christ by doing visits, writing letters, making phone calls and concerted prayer. If you have a passion for any of the activities listed above and a love of the Lord, we welcome you into the G.R.O.W. ministry. Ministry Leader: Doug Williams

Volunteer Janet Wood: “Those who work in the jail ministry are volunteer chaplains. We serve the women inmates at Jail East by leading them in prayer, praise and Bible study. We go to be a blessing, but but leave as the ones who receive the blessing. These ladies are devoted to knowing more about the Bible and knowing God’s will for their lives.” Volunteer Carolyn Dhority: “Words can’t describe the overwhelming feeling I have when I leave this service. You don’t have to have the ‘been there, done that, got the t-shirt’ kind of life to minister to this group -- just be a willing vessel.”
The CBC library is filled with resources that will educate, enlighten and entertain our members. The library is open every Sunday immediately after services and is managed by Linda Veldhuizen.
CBC encompasses all styles from traditional hymns to contemporary praise music and everything in between. “We take worship very seriously, but we still have fun,” says worship leader Dan Perriguey. “We’re offering our skills to Almighty God as a sacrifice of praise, and our goal is invisibility. We’re here to praise God’s holiness, faithfulness and beauty.”
The Nursery ministry at Community Bible Church is coordinated by Amanda Rowland. She leads a team of volunteers who provide a healthy and safe atmosphere for children to explore and learn about interaction with others. It’s never too early for friendships. At CBC, God calls for us ‘to reach, to win, to train, to send.’ Each week more parents are being reached, and their children are being loved. The nursery serves children from bed babies to four years of age, and provides learning opportunities, snacks and FUN. This ministry allows our team to teach and care for God’s most precious gift -- our children.
Oaks of Righteousness is a ministry of CBC that is focused solely on missions and the persecuted church around the world. We meet once a month to spend time in prayer for the missionaries that CBC supports as well as to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world who are enduring persecution because of their faith. Throughout the year we work on various projects to increase awareness within the church of the realities of persecution worldwide and get the church involved in ministering to these believers. We believe that it is crucial that we support these saints who daily live out their belief in Christ and desire to serve Him at any cost. Ministry Leaders: Marlena Glowacki, Tim & Brandy White
CBC's ministry for seniors is called the Primetimers. This group meets the first Tuesday of every month and uses their "prime" time for serving others. One such ministry is to visit shut-ins who are unable to attend church. The Primetimers group is led by Jean Rowland.
The safety of our members and guests is a top priority and our Security Team, directed by Danny Pittman, is dedicated to that purpose. Volunteers are stationed at key points for all worship services and other events.
The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Community is to reach all women: single, married, with or without children, young, middle-aged, or of experienced age with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to offer them quality opportunities for continued spiritual growth and ministry. We pray that our women will become students of the Word and develop a vibrant, meaningful prayer life. We offer monthly fellowships which usually includes a meal and a guest speaker. Bible studies are offered throughout the year as well. We invite all women to come and join the ladies of CBC as we experience God together.
Proverbs 31:30 (NLT)
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.”
